I would like to give a brief disclaimer: Warning I am not hating on anyone as the topics discussed may hit a soft spot. Just like a******s there are opinions, everyone has one, and this reflects my my possibly unbiased opinion about the subject matter. This is a stay out of your feelings zone.  Now that that's taken care of, let's talk #goals. So any connoisseur of social media is likely to have used or seen some type of fairytale like picture or words followed by hashtag goals. When I check out the Shaderoom they pass along shade as well as inspiration given by regular folks and then also by celebrities. Many people shoot for bae goals and it's typically the caption for a picture of Beyonce & Jay Z or Teyana Taylor and Iman Shumpert. Makes sense, they're in love, married, have offspring and smile at each other in pictures. Although I think every good writer does a hiatus every now and then I must apologize for my abrupt absence. Although I have been very much present on social media that good ol writers block had me out for the count. After being fat shamed and coming to some realizations about myself and relationships, I needed a mental break to move on from the literal bullshit. For weeks prior to the big countdown I saw posts of new year new me. Leave the snakes in 2017 blah blah blah. Change is hard. Like really hard. I've done some real big soul searching and what I have concluded is that I am lazy in others eyes but I know that I am exhausted. Each day is an opportunity to get more energy, make a different move, and do something extraordinary. I welcome everyone to have "me" time and really reflect on what could use some change, what can be done and the patience that is necessary. The realist, the optimist, the pessimist : A series on attitude and world views

Happy Monday! For many I know there’s nothing exciting about the start of another work week and yet my gloom from Thanksgiving is almost completely evaporated. Just the atypical holidays for me as I get deeper into my 20's and closer to my 30's. The scariest part is that I'm embracing this sweet nightmare, but enough about me lets talk about everyone. Everyone that can relate that is.  I've never had a really hard time categorizing these personality types but I have always wondered how effective these ways of thinking are on the physical aspect of our personal worlds. A realist, a pessimist and an optimist were friends. The realist saw the optimist and pessimist for who they were. The optimist saw the realist and the pessimist for what they could be. The pessimist just anticipated the day the realist and the optimist wouldn't be their friend anymore. Quite the small group of friends don't you think?
