Reality Bites

"Write what you know." As I have heard this repeated constantly in my very cramped head space, I have wondered "What do I know?" At this point in my life I have come to the realization that I have completely sucked at my 20s and I will probably get better or worse when I get to my 30s. Life is not just about dating psychopaths and completely puking all over your new pair of heels in  the V.I.P of a club, it is also about being broke, having nervous breakdowns, and realizing that the older you get the less people care about you. I now understand the hatred senior citizens have towards all of humanity, or at least their ungrateful children.  What can any of us do to remedy the pain and suffering endured throughout our adult lives? Listen. That is all, just listen. So many times I heard my version of Snoop Dogg saying "N***as ain't shit but hoes and tricks."  As the sound board to many of my close and ex-friends about their boos and baes I knew bette...

So, where do I start? I would say the beginning, but in my current state I really do not know what that is. It did not take me very long growing up to know what I wanted to  do with my life. It seemed like writing was my calling. First of all I would like to apologize as this was something I intended on sharing with you all awhile ago. In life we all have or ups and downs, the things we focus on and our distractions. Soundset 2018 was an event I was happy to attend  despite the heat and humidity. I was lucky enough to see acts such as Rapsody (Who gave some very wonderful advice to up and coming artists about their brand, music, and paper), Jack Harlow, J.I.D, Jaden Smith, Prof, Russ, Wu-Tang Clan, Erykah Badu (My Queen), Tyler the Creator (My spirit animal) and more!  As the day got later the crowds got bigger and I took advantage of exploring the other aspects of the monumental festival. With my journalist had on I managed to snag interviews with Rhymesayers artists prof and the newly signed Nikki Jean! With my interviews locked down I started exploring by proximity and based on the provided schedule. Just outside of the VIP area there was live painting, and "risk" painting experience, graffiti...
