Happy New Year

Although I think every good writer does a hiatus every now and then I must apologize for my abrupt absence. Although I have been very much present on social media that good ol writers block had me out for the count. After being fat shamed and coming to some realizations about myself and relationships, I needed a mental break to move on from the literal bullshit. For weeks prior to the big countdown I saw posts of new year new me. Leave the snakes in 2017 blah blah blah. Change is hard. Like really hard.

I've done some real big soul searching and what I have concluded is that I am lazy in others eyes but I know that I am exhausted. Each day is an opportunity to get more energy, make a different move, and do something extraordinary. I welcome everyone to have "me" time and really reflect on what could use some change, what can be done and the patience that is necessary. You'll see as much of me as I can bare between a full time and part time job, a radio show, and my art. I look forward to seeing more of you this year. Happy New Year!

The Mane Event: Keyshia & Gucci goals?

This topic has been a long time coming! I can approach this at  so many angles especially since with or without the people I'm using as examples, the subject matter remains to be one that is timeless as long as humans exist on Earth. Remember that huge BET Event? The matrimony of the Guwops (Keyshia Ka'oir and Gucci Mane). They called it the Mane event and because I see cable as a luxury and not a necessity, I was not able to dress up and pretend that I was in attendance like the rest of the viewers. For months we were teased about this fairytale wedding where the bride was beautiful as usual and the groom showed us a Gucci many folks still believe is a clone, because the man that went to jail was not the same man that came out. Hello hello hello  I would like to officially welcome you back into my mind. To those of you that visited Meliah's World I thank you for your support. To the newcomers I wanted to take this opportunity to have you get to know me a little better. So here's a list of things you may or may not be able to relate to: Foods that I hate: 1. Peas - squishy even little things 2. Liver- mom's had me thinking it was pork chops (no bueno) 3.
